The standard we aim at

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the level referenced by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and by most public procurement. We are not claiming certified conformance. We are telling you what we build to and where we know we have not got there yet.

What this site does

• Respects reduced motion. This site animates a great deal. If your system is set to reduce motion, the scroll animations, the reveals and the looping effects stop. That setting is honoured throughout, not just on the homepage.
• Keyboard navigation. Every link, button and form field can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and a visible focus ring shows where you are.
• A skip link. The first thing a keyboard or screen reader reaches is a link that jumps past the navigation to the page content.
• Landmarks and headings. Pages use real header, navigation, main and footer regions, one first-level heading, and headings in order, so a screen reader can move by structure.
• Contrast. Body text is light on a near-black ground and is tested against the 4.5 to 1 minimum for normal text.
• Text that scales. Type is set in relative units, so browser zoom and larger default text sizes work rather than clipping the layout.
• Labelled forms. Every field has a real label, and errors are announced rather than shown only as colour.
• Decorative images are hidden. Ornamental graphics carry empty alternative text so a screen reader skips them instead of reading a filename.

Where it still falls short

Being straight about this is more useful than a clean bill of health.

• The homepage is a heavy animated experience. It renders a three-dimensional scene and tells a story as you scroll. With reduced motion on it settles down, but it remains the most demanding page on the site, and on an old phone it will be slow.
• The scroll narrative carries meaning visually. The words are all in the page and readable by a screen reader, but the sense of growth the animation adds is not conveyed in text.
• Video previews of client work have no captions. They are silent screen recordings with no spoken content, and each is labelled, but they are not described shot by shot.
• We have not completed a full audit with assistive technology. Our checks are automated plus keyboard testing. That is not the same as testing with the screen readers people actually use.

Accessibility in the work we sell

Accessibility is part of how we build client sites, not an add-on we quote separately: semantic markup, keyboard support, contrast, labelled forms and respect for reduced motion are the baseline. If your project needs to meet a specific legal standard, say so early, because meeting it reliably changes how a site is built and tested rather than what gets bolted on at the end.
